Multiple Coda style popups

Posted by

I’ve been receiving a few emails recently about an old post I wrote regarding the Coda style popups. I wrote the post in response to a tutorial on the Jquery site detailing how to achieve the popup effect on the Coda site. Quite a few users (myself included) wanted to have multiple popups on the same page but hit a number of obstacles. I managed to get the effect working well and have left an example on my site here. Feel free to view the source code and pull it apart. You should be able to recreate the effect fairly easily.

Let me know how you get on and how you use the popups.

    Hello,
I’m trying to get this example working: http://www.mancunianrepublik.com/popups/, but with no success. Do you have a downloadable example, with correct css and js files? I’m sorry to bother you, but I am learning and it is much easier if I can see the entire example.
    Thanks
    MJ

Hi MJ. Everything you need is on the page. Just view the source of the page and you’ll be able to download all the CSS and JavaScript you need. Good luck!

Hi Brendan, The link to the Multiple Coda style popups examples page not working. I mean this: Multiple Coda style popups/popups. It only takes to the posts page.

      Hi Musti,
Sorry about that – the link must have been broken when I moved the site to this new domain. It’s working now. Thanks for the heads up! You can see it at http://www.mancunianrepublik.com/popups/
